Database query execution via unescaped IBSN input
Published Apr 6, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
SQL injection in SourceCodester Online Library System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute database queries via the IBSN field. The add-book handler in admin/books/controller.php concatenates the submitted IBSN value directly into a SELECT statement without parameterization or escaping. The published proof requires an authenticated administrator session and demonstrates boolean-, error-, and time-based query execution against MySQL.
