Authenticated code execution via traversal ZIP import
Published May 15, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Relative path traversal in CyberPower PowerPanel Business before 4.9.0 allows remote authenticated users to write files via ZIP import. The server's ZIP import handler accepts archive entry names containing traversal sequences and extracts them without confining resolved paths to the intended directory. Low-privileged access to the network import function is required, and attackers can place files outside the extraction tree for code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
