Improper certificate validation in F5 BIG-IP Next Central Manager before 20.2.0 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to impersonate Instance Providers. The product fails to authenticate an Instance Provider certificate correctly, but F5 has not disclosed the exact validation check omitted. Exploitation requires a man-in-the-middle position and user interaction; successful impersonation can expose or alter management-plane data without interrupting service.
