Session theft and reboot via unauthenticated web pages
Published Nov 26, 2024 · Updated Nov 4, 2025
Authentication bypass in Sharp and Toshiba Tec MFP web interfaces allows remote attackers to steal active sessions or reboot devices. The web server exposes sessionlist.html, which returns MFPSESSIONID cookies, and sys_trayentryreboot.html without enforcing authentication. Session theft requires a user to be logged in; a network path to the device is sufficient for repeated reboots that interrupt service.
