CVE-2024-33608Network attack vector

Unauthenticated service interruption via undisclosed IPsec traffic

Published May 8, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Denial of service in F5 BIG-IP 17.1.0 allows remote attackers to terminate TMM via traffic to an IPsec-enabled virtual server. F5 identifies access of an uninitialized pointer but has not disclosed which TMM code path mishandles the traffic or its required characteristics. The issue is reachable without authentication only when IPsec is configured on a virtual server, and exploitation interrupts traffic processing.
