Unauthenticated database manipulation via login query injection
Published Apr 6, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2024
SQL injection in SourceCodester Online Library System 1.0 allows remote attackers to manipulate its MySQL database through the admin login. The admin/login.php handler incorporates the POST user_email value into a MySQL query without effective parameterization, allowing injected SQL to alter the statement. A demonstrated time-based blind payload invokes MySQL SLEEP before authentication, exposing database confidentiality, integrity, and availability without requiring an account.
