Stack-based buffer overflow in Siemens Simcenter Femap before V2406 allows context-dependent attackers to execute code via a crafted BDF file. An undisclosed application binary overflows a stack buffer while parsing specially crafted strings supplied through the BDF input. Exploitation requires a user to open the malicious file, and successful execution runs in the current process context.
