Unauthenticated code execution via local file inclusion
Published Jun 4, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Path traversal in 8theme XStore 9.3.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to include and execute arbitrary server files. Published advisories do not identify the affected PHP function or parameter, but state that attacker-controlled path input reaches a local file inclusion operation. No authentication or user interaction is required; code execution depends on an includable PHP file already being present or an upload path for a nominally safe file type.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=n/a <=9.3.8 changes=[{"at":"9.3.9","status":"unaffected"}]
