Authenticated PHP execution via local file inclusion
Published Jun 4, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Path traversal in 8theme XStore Core 5.3.8 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP through local file inclusion. A PHP include operation accepts an attacker-selected path without restricting it to an intended directory; public sources do not identify the affected function or parameter. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and PHP execution requires an includable server-side file, including an uploaded file in an otherwise permitted format.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=0 <=5.3.8
