Database disclosure via insufficiently prepared SQL parameter
Published Apr 29, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
SQL injection in 8theme XStore Core 5.3.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to extract sensitive database data without authentication. The plugin passes a user-supplied parameter into an existing SQL query without sufficient escaping or preparation, allowing appended SQL statements. An unauthenticated network request is sufficient, and the grounded consequence is database information disclosure rather than a broader claimed compromise.
