CVE-2024-33510Network attack vector

Phishing content injection via crafted SSL-VPN requests

Published Nov 12, 2024 · Updated Nov 13, 2024

Output injection in the Fortinet FortiOS and FortiProxy SSL-VPN web UI allows remote attackers to stage phishing via crafted requests. The interface fails to neutralize special elements in request-controlled text before supplying that output to a downstream web component. No authentication is required, but successful phishing requires user interaction with the crafted request and trust in the injected content.
