CVE-2024-33383Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Server file disclosure via path traversal

Published Apr 30, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Path traversal in xxyopen Novel-Plus 4.3.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to read server files through a crafted GET request. The FileController.fileDownload method accepts the filePath parameter at /common/sysFile/download and returns the referenced file without constraining traversal outside the intended directory. The published proof of concept uses a logged-in administrative session, while CISA rates privileges as unnecessary; disclosure is bounded to files readable by the service account.
