Stored XSS via unescaped image alt data
Published May 2, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Extend Themes Colibri Page Builder 1.0.262 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via image alt data. The builder accepts image alternative-text data without sufficient input sanitization and later renders it into page output without escaping. Author-level access or higher is required, and the injected script runs when a user visits the affected page, exposing that user's browser session to attacker-controlled code.
