Plaintext credential storage in LB-LINK BL-W1210M 2.0 allows attackers to recover user credentials from extracted router firmware. The firmware image embeds unencrypted credential values, and the research disclosure reports recovering USER1 and USER2 directly from it. Access to a firmware image is required; the demonstrated consequence is disclosure of stored authentication material that enables unauthorized router access.
