CVE-2024-33374

Root shell access via unauthenticated UART console

Published Jun 14, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Authentication bypass in LB-LINK BL-W1210M 2.0 allows physically proximate attackers to obtain a root terminal through UART. The UART/Serial interface grants terminal access at root privilege without performing an authentication check. Physical access to the router's UART interface is required; the resulting shell permits complete control of the device.
