CVE-2024-33373Network attack vector

Password weakening via single-digit credential acceptance

Published Jun 14, 2024 · Updated Nov 18, 2024

Password-policy bypass in LB-LINK BL-W1210M v2.0 allows remote authenticated users to set single-digit router passwords. The router's password-setting workflow accepts a single-digit value despite its stated complexity requirements, leaving authentication protected by an extremely small search space. Existing authenticated access is required to set the weak credential; afterward, password guessing can yield administrative access to the router.
