Account takeover via stored middle-name script injection
Published May 2, 2024 · Updated Mar 26, 2025
Stored XSS in SourceCodester Laboratory Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in users' browsers. The user-save handler at /php-lms/classes/Users.php?f=save stores the middlename POST value and later renders it without neutralizing script markup. A victim with any application role must open a page displaying the created user; the script can read session cookies and enable account takeover.
