Privilege escalation via uncast database identifier
Published Apr 30, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
SQL injection attributed to HTC Hero before 1.25 allows remote attackers to gain elevated access through an unauthenticated network request. The cited technical advisory instead identifies Hero's hfheropayment PrestaShop module: initContent() concatenates an uncast insertId into a SELECT statement. No retrieved source connects that PHP controller or payment module to the HTC handset, so the catalog association cannot support handset triage or detection.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
