Memory corruption via oversized PPPoE password
Published Apr 23, 2024 · Updated Aug 15, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda FH1206 1.2.0.8(8155)_EN allows remote attackers to corrupt memory via an HTTP request. The ip/goform/QuickIndex handler processes an oversized PPPOEPassword value without enforcing the destination stack buffer's bounds. No authentication or user interaction is required; public evidence supports limited confidentiality, integrity, and availability impact but not code execution.
