Browser script execution via unescaped entry URL
Published Oct 2, 2024 · Updated Oct 2, 2024
Reflected cross-site scripting in FlatPress 1.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in another user's browser via a crafted URL. The admin entry-writing page reflects the entry query parameter into HTML without neutralizing quote-delimited event-handler attributes. A logged-in attacker must persuade another user to open the crafted admin URL; successful execution can read or alter data available to that browser session.
