Memory corruption via deviceId stack overflow
Published Jul 16, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AC18 firmware 15.03.3.10 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory via deviceId. The /goform/addWifiMacFilter handler accepts an oversized deviceId value and writes beyond the bounds of a stack buffer. Low-privilege access to the network management interface is required, and corruption can crash the service or redirect its control flow.
