Authenticated SQL injection via unfiltered topic parameter
Published May 7, 2024 · Updated Dec 9, 2024
SQL injection in Roothub 2.6 allows remote authenticated users to read or alter database data through the topic parameter. CommentAdminController.list() passes topic through topicService.pageLike() into the selectAllForAdmin query without adequate filtering. Low-privileged access to the administrative comment-listing route is required, and consequences are bounded by the application's database permissions.
