Arbitrary script execution via unescaped statistics code
Published Apr 30, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in ThinkSAAS 3.7.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary script through the statistics plug-in's code parameter. The counter handler stores code without neutralizing a closing textarea tag, then renders the value into edit_set.html and, when enabled, every site page. Exploitation requires an administrator to submit the crafted form; opening the plug-in settings triggers execution, and enabling the plug-in exposes all visitors.
