Wireless service interruption via MBSSID fragment use-after-free
Published Nov 4, 2024 · Updated Nov 4, 2024
Use-after-free in Qualcomm Snapdragon WLAN firmware allows remote attackers to interrupt wireless service via crafted beacon frames. MBSSID information-element fragment parsing accesses memory after its lifetime has ended, producing a transient denial of service. The target must receive the crafted wireless beacon; the published impact is temporary service interruption, with no reported data access or modification.
