CVE-2024-33065

Local memory corruption via unchecked snapshot offset

Published Oct 7, 2024 · Updated Oct 7, 2024

Memory corruption in Qualcomm Snapdragon camera firmware allows local users to compromise device data while taking a snapshot. The camera driver sets an offset variable used during snapshot capture without adequate validation, causing memory corruption; Qualcomm has not disclosed the affected function or buffer operation. Local access is required, with no privileges or user interaction, and the documented consequence includes unauthorized data access, modification, and service interruption.
