Memory disclosure via uninitialized DSP process state

Buffer over-read in Qualcomm Snapdragon firmware allows local users to disclose memory through a crafted DSP Service IOCTL call. The release or channel-opening path processes a trusted VM operation without first initializing the associated process state, causing an out-of-bounds read. Local access to an affected device is required; no user interaction or prior privileges are required, and confidentiality is the principal impact.
