Memory corruption via concurrent CVP buffer unregistration
Published Dec 2, 2024 · Updated Dec 3, 2024
Use-after-free in Qualcomm Snapdragon Video firmware allows local users with high privileges to corrupt memory during CVP buffer cleanup. Concurrent threads can unregister the same CVP buffer, releasing its memory while another thread still retains or accesses that buffer. Local high-privilege access is required; successful exploitation compromises confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
