CVE-2024-33041

Memory corruption via unchecked fence count

Published Jan 6, 2025 · Updated Jan 6, 2025

Memory corruption in Qualcomm Snapdragon Computer Vision allows local users with high privileges to corrupt memory through a fence-frame IOCTL call. The IOCTL handler accepts an unvalidated number of fences and uses the resulting out-of-range pointer offset while processing the fence frame. The call requires local high privileges; successful exploitation compromises data confidentiality and integrity or interrupts the affected device.
