Kernel compromise via redundant buffer release race

Use-after-free memory corruption in Qualcomm Snapdragon firmware allows local users with high privileges to compromise the kernel. A redundant user-space release command frees a buffer while kernel code can still access it, creating a race that dereferences released memory. Exploitation requires high privileges and winning the race; successful access can compromise kernel confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
