CVE-2024-33033

Memory corruption via freed buffer access

Published Nov 4, 2024 · Updated Nov 8, 2024

Use-after-free in Qualcomm Snapdragon ComputerVision allows local users with high privileges to corrupt memory through buffer-unmapping IOCTLs. The component frees a buffer during an unmap IOCTL and subsequently accesses that released memory, although Qualcomm has not disclosed the affected function or lifetime sequence. Exploitation requires local high-privileged access and no user interaction; CISA reports no public exploitation.
