Wireless service interruption via short response frames
Published Aug 5, 2024 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Buffer over-read in Qualcomm WLAN firmware allows remote attackers to interrupt wireless service with malformed response frames. The WLAN host parser processes probe-response and association-response frames shorter than the maximum timestamp field, reading beyond the received frame boundary. Reachability requires an attacker able to transmit the crafted wireless management response; the documented consequence is transient service interruption, not data access or code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
