Race condition in Stellar Core before 20.4.0 allows remote attackers to crash a core node through peer-to-peer network traffic. The Overlay subsystem mishandles an error-code failure mode from a third-party library during concurrent processing, allowing the race to terminate the process. No privileges or user interaction are required, but exploitation has high complexity and affects availability only; restarted nodes return online promptly.
