Incorrect authorization in Misskey before 2024.5.0 allows remote attackers to impersonate remote accounts through signed ActivityPub activities. The inbox processor verifies the Linked Data Signature but processes the original JSON structure instead of its compacted JSON-LD representation. Exploitation requires a valid signature from the target account and permits spoofed activities of any type to be attributed to that account.
