Out-of-bounds write and type confusion in SOLIDWORKS eDrawings 2023 through 2024 allow attackers to execute code via crafted DWG or DXF files. The DXF parser fails to validate user-supplied data before writing past an allocated object; the vendor reports a companion incompatible-type access but has not disclosed its exact code locus. Exploitation requires a user to visit malicious content or open a malicious file, and resulting code runs in the current process context.
