CVE-2024-32977Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated access via spoofed forwarded address

Published May 14, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Authentication bypass in OctoPrint 1.10.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to gain configured user access via a spoofed client IP. The passive-login path trusts the first X-Forwarded-For value as the client address, so a forged local address satisfies the autologin network check. Exploitation requires autologin to be enabled; otherwise the flaw has no impact, while successful requests receive the configured user's permissions.
