CVE-2024-32922

TEE privilege escalation via GPU power logic

Published Jun 13, 2024 · Updated Aug 20, 2024

Local privilege escalation in the Android Mali kernel on Google Pixel devices allows local users to compromise TEE protected memory. A logic error occurs in gpu_pm_power_on_top_nolock in pixel_gpu_power.c, but Google has not disclosed the function's incorrect operation. Exploitation requires local code execution but no additional execution privileges or user interaction and can elevate execution into the TEE.
