Privilege escalation in Google Android 12 through 14 allows local users to interrupt a device-admin factory reset. RecoverySystemService rebooted into recovery before deleting keystore secrets, allowing a physically present attacker to stop the reboot before recovery erased user data. Exploitation requires physical access and user interaction; additional exploits are required to compromise the device after the reset is stopped.
