CVE-2024-32893

Local information disclosure via improper type casting

Published Jun 13, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Out-of-bounds read in Google Pixel ACPM code before the 2024-06-05 patch allows local users to disclose kernel memory. The _s5e9865_mif_set_rate function in Android kernel file exynos_dvfs.c improperly casts a value and reads beyond the intended boundary. Exploitation requires local code execution but no additional privileges or user interaction, and its reported consequence is limited to information disclosure.
