Improper permissions in Nessus 10.7.2 and earlier allow local users to elevate privileges through a non-default Windows installation. The installer fails to enforce secure permissions on subdirectories beneath a user-selected installation location. Exploitation requires an already local, low-privileged user and a non-default installation whose directories were not independently secured, enabling elevated actions on the Windows host.
