Premature token transfer via stale spendable balance
Published Jun 6, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Incorrect balance calculation in Evmos before 18.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to transfer unvested tokens after delegation. The clawback vesting account TrackDelegation path fails to reduce spendable balance by newly delegated vested tokens, leaving those tokens available to send. Exploitation requires control of a clawback vesting account with vested and unvested funds, a delegation, and a subsequent transfer transaction.
