CVE-2024-32862Network attack vector

Cross-domain data access via permissive origin policy

Published Aug 1, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Permissive cross-domain policy in Johnson Controls exacqVision Web Service 24.03 and earlier allows remote attackers to access data. Johnson Controls has not disclosed which origin-validation locus or comparison admits an untrusted domain, only that cross-domain protection is insufficient. Exploitation requires user interaction and a high-complexity cross-origin scenario; successful access can expose or modify Web Service data but does not interrupt service.
