CVE-2024-3279Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated database replacement via unrestricted import

Published Aug 9, 2024 · Updated Oct 15, 2025

Improper access control in Mintplex Labs AnythingLLM before 1.0.0 allows remote attackers to replace its database through the import endpoint. The POST /system/data-import route accepts an uploaded database without authentication, then import code deletes or overwrites the active anythingllm.db file. No account is required; successful use can falsify data shown to users, disclose information through attacker-supplied content, or interrupt service.
