Author-level file deletion via path traversal
Published Jun 9, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Path traversal in Wasiliy Strecker Contest Gallery 21.3.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary files. Public advisories do not identify the affected handler or parameter; they disclose only that attacker-controlled paths are not confined before deletion. Author-level access is required, and deletion of WordPress or site files can interrupt the website without exposing file contents.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
