Stored XSS via unsanitized CSS-class setting
Published Jun 18, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stored XSS in FooPlugins FooBox and FooBox Pro before 2.7.28 allows remote authenticated users to inject browser scripts via plugin settings. The Specific CSS classes setting accepts a crafted value without sanitization and is later emitted without output escaping. Administrator-level access and a site that denies unfiltered_html, such as WordPress multisite, are required; opening affected content executes the stored script in the visitor's browser.
