CVE-2024-32753Network attack vector

DOM-based XSS via vulnerable jQuery dependency

Published Jul 11, 2024 · Updated Aug 16, 2024

Vulnerable jQuery in Johnson Controls Illustra Pro4 and Flex4 camera firmware allows context-dependent attackers to execute DOM-based XSS. The embedded web interface includes jQuery earlier than 3.5.0, but Johnson Controls has not disclosed which upstream jQuery flaw or input-processing path is reachable. Exploitation requires a crafted condition and active user interaction; successful script execution can read browser-accessible data and alter interface actions.
