Stored XSS via unescaped menu item names
Published Apr 17, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in the Menu settings of WonderCMS 3.4.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in another user's browser. The saveAction path stores the submitted menu name in menuItems without neutralizing HTML, and renderPageNavMenuItem outputs that name directly. A valid administrator session and CSRF token are required to plant the payload; execution occurs when a user loads a page that renders the affected menu.
