Authenticated privilege escalation via unchecked attachments
Published May 14, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Missing authorization in SAP's travel-request application 600 allows remote authenticated users to upload malicious trip attachments. The ZTV_TRQ_SRV OData backend accepts and serves attachments by identifier without enforcing owner-specific access. A valid account and victim interaction are required; if session cookies lack adequate protection, crafted HTML compromises the active session.
