Published May 13, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in Kognetiks Chatbot for WordPress 2.0.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to write files via an HTTP upload request. The chatbot_chatgpt_upload_file_to_assistant handler accepts attacker-supplied content without validating its file type before storing it. No authentication or user interaction is required; execution of uploaded code depends on the storage location and server configuration.
