CVE-2024-32670

Location disclosure via scannable BLE advertisements

Published Jul 10, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Information exposure in Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 before 0.20.04 allows physically proximate attackers to locate a tag by scanning BLE advertisements. The tag emits BLE advertisements that can be scanned without authorization, but Samsung has not disclosed which field or identifier enables location correlation. No account or user interaction is required; Bluetooth proximity and repeated observation expose location, without reported integrity or availability impact.
