Local privilege escalation in Ant Media Server 2.6.0 through 2.8.2 allows local users to gain root privileges through JMX. The systemd service starts JMX without authentication on localhost TCP port 5599, letting its MLet bean load an MBean from an attacker-controlled server into the Ant Media Java process. Any unprivileged Linux account with local access can reach the listener and execute code in the antmedia service context, enabling escalation to root.
